Conflict = Energy

CONFLICT = ENERGY

Many (perhaps most) of us are conflict-averse. Too many organizations avoid or smooth over conflict, missing opportunities for growth and progress. This learning session explores conflict as a necessary and productive segment of work life. Every innovation and every productive change arise from conflict.

Practical and down-to-earth, this session developed from my years of experience in mediation and dispute resolution. Consider this: The absence of conflict in your organization signals not good health but the slide to mediocrity and extinction. This course provides the tools to better understand, acknowledge, and manage conflict for the sake of creativity and organizational growth.

The centerpiece of this session is The Solution Preference Inventory: Moving from Conflict to Collaboration Using Interest-Based Problem Solving©. This assessment provides a clear and useful picture of how your organization deals with conflict as well as strategies and tactics for using conflict more advantageously.

This session is particularly useful for any organization that has recurring, non-productive conflict, or whose members complain rather than focus on solutions.
Participants will develop a plan to improve and measure verbal performance over a six-month period. The plan includes three virtual reporting and coaching sessions with Mac Bogert to benchmark success and to change habits that impede powerful communication.
